The "One Bread, One Cup" College Internship Program is a summer program for college students. The internship offers young adults throughout North America an opportunity to participate and be formed in the Benedictine tradition.
During the internship, the students live in an intentional Christian community at a Roman Catholic monastery while studying and ministering at its seminary and school of theology. Interns serve as staff, catechists and theological reflection group leaders during the "One Bread, One Cup" Summer Conferences.
Interns participate in the daily liturgical life of the Roman Catholic Church and experience a balance of theory and practice in today's Church. Often, participants earn academic credit by completing a required internship or arranging for an independent study.
College internships at Saint Meinrad begin the first Friday of June and conclude in July. Interns reside at Saint Meinrad for the duration of the internship.
The internship dates for 2020 are: June 5 - July 14.
For college students interested in a shorter term, "One Bread, One Cup" is pleased to offer the College Ministerial Internship Program in collaboration with Conception Abbey and Seminary College in Conception, MO, for one conference in 2020. This internship will take place on the campus of Conception Seminary College. The same principles will guide this internship experience, only with a shorter term.
The internship dates for 2020 at Conception Seminary College are: June 10 - June 28.
