A Christmas Reflection Inspired by St. Benedict

In the quiet of the holy night,

Where stars above shine pure and bright,

We gather ‘round with hearts so light,

To welcome Christ, our guiding light.

St. Benedict, with wisdom clear,

Taught us to live with love and cheer,

In humble work and earnest prayer,

We find our Lord’s sweet presence there.

As Advent’s hope turns into joy,

We celebrate the baby boy,

With hearts prepared, we sing and pray,

To greet the dawn of Christmas Day.

In every task, both great and small,

We heed the Rule, we heed the call,

To live in peace, to serve with grace,

And find in Christ our resting place.

So let us, in this blessed season,

Reflect on love, our truest reason,

With St. Benedict’s guiding hand,

We build our faith, we understand.

Merry Christmas to one and all,

May blessings on your hearts befall,

With joy and peace, our spirits rise,

As Christ is born before our eyes.
