Making Welcome
Making Welcome seeks to bring some of the broad principles of the USCCB's Guidelines into the realm of the concrete and practical, suggesting ways in which the diocese and local parish can work together for the sake of creating a positive experience for the priest as well as the parish.
A retreat-workshop for priests who are currently (or may soon be) involved with parish reorganization in some form – twinning, merging, sharing a pastor, or closing. Diocesan mandates, processes, and parish situations all vary greatly, so this program is not concerned with “how to do it” but rather the spiritual well-being and support of priests immersed in the experience.
Time for reflection, prayer, discussion, and fraternity.

Concludes with Mass 8:00am Friday morning
$350.00 program fee, room and board
Expenses for this “pilot program” are being significantly defrayed by IPP grant funds in hopes that this retreat-workshop can be further developed and offered both at Saint Meinrad and on-site in dioceses.
