October Retreat
This first retreat is a silent, individually directed retreat, and will allow participants the opportunity to process and consolidate the growth they have experienced so far.
This retreat is offered off-campus at a location dependent upon cohort size. Preferred locations include:
- Mercy Conference and Retreat Center, St. Louis MO
- Providence Spirituality & Conference Center, St. Mary-of-the-Woods, IN
- Mt. Saint Francis Retreat Center, Mt. St. Francis, IN
- St. Benedict's Abbey and Retreat Center, Benet Lake, WI
Capstone Retreat
The final element of the El Camino year is a preached retreat in Spain. The retreat serves as a debriefing and synthesizing moment for the participants. As they reflect on their experience, students again engage with the spirituality of pilgrimage.
This spirit of pilgrimage will serve to strengthen the participants as they continue their formation for the priesthood, and it will remain vibrant as they seek God while transitioning between assignments after ordination in their home diocese. The retreat ends with a six-day walking pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.
