Students who successfully complete the 18-credit specialization certificate in Spirituality will:
Establish broad foundation of knowledge concerning the Christian spiritual tradition;
Demonstrate depth of knowledge in one or more focused areas of spirituality through the completion of elective coursework.
Foundations of Christian Spirituality (3 credits)
15 additional credits selected from the Spirituality category (courses starting 45:xxx). Elective options might include Adolescent Spirituality, Thomas Merton and the Spirituality of Non-Violence, Foundations of Christian Spirituality, History of Christian Spirituality, The Icon East and West, Benedictine Spirituality, Servant Leadership for Ministry, The Desert Fathers and Mothers, Medieval Mysticism, Directed Research Project, or other courses approved by the Director of Graduate Theology Programs.
