Saint Meinrad, Lake Institute partner on religious fundraising program

Institute on Faith & Giving is conducting a pilot program of
its Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising (ECRF) September
The certificate program is being hosted by Saint Meinrad
Seminary and School of Theology's Institute for Priests and
Presbyterates and will be held on the Saint Meinrad campus in St.
The ECRF is aimed at meeting the growing needs of religious
leaders in faith-based organizations and institutions, such as
theological seminaries, Christian or religiously based colleges,
independent mega-congregations, denominational development offices,
traditional congregations and faith-based nonprofits.
The ECRF is intended to serve individual clergy who wish to gain
an expertise in fundraising principles and practices and to train
development personnel who serve faith-based organizations.
Presenters will include Dr. William G. Enright, director of Lake
Institute and former senior pastor of Second Presbyterian Church in
Indianapolis, IN; Dr. Eugene Tempel, founding dean of the Indiana
University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy; and Daniel Conway,
senior vice president for planning, marketing and advancement at
Marian University, Indianapolis.
The program's curriculum includes four one-day core courses,
selected readings, online peer-group conversations, an integration
paper outlining a year-long fundraising program and a final paper
assessing the effectiveness of the fundraising program. Successful
participants will receive the Executive Certificate in Religious
The cost of the program is $1,050 until July 12. After July 12,
the cost is $1,250. The fee includes accommodations and meals. The
