PART-TIME SALES/STOCK CLERK

Introduction

The Archabbey Gift Shop and Scholar Shop have a year-round part-time opening for a Sales/Stock Clerk. This individual will work approximately 12-24 hours per week, including some weekends. Monthly work schedules will vary according to group activity expected on the Hill.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform cashier duties and assist customers with their needs.

  • Operate cash register, credit card machine, computer, calculator, and copier.

  • Process and ship orders to customers. Process customer returns.

  • Balance cash drawer and prepare a deposit.

  • Answer phone. Take phone orders, answer customer questions, and take messages.

  • Process incoming shipments and receiving documents.

  • Prepare incoming merchandise for the retail sales floor.

  • Light cleaning duties.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Must be able to work independently and have the ability to relate well with others.

  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Requires good organizational and communication skills.

  • Helpful to have experience with computers and typical office equipment.

  • Experience in cashiering and knowledge in receiving and record-keeping beneficial.
