"O" Antiphon Retreat

The "O" Antiphons provide the great finale to the public
liturgy of the Church as Advent draws to a close. Based on these
seven antiphons from evening prayer, this preached retreat explores
their profound meaning and symbolism, in preparation for a noble
celebration of the Christmas mysteries. The tone of the retreat
will be set by listening to the Saint Meinrad recordings of the "O"
Antiphons in both Latin and English as part of an Advent lectio
divina experience. The monastic liturgies during the time of
the retreat will help us close the liturgical year before we begin
a new one on the following Sunday.
