The Benedictine Scholars is an eight-week summer program offering young men who are interested in a possible religious vocation the chance to experience life at a Benedictine monastery while earning money and advancing their education.
The Benedictine Scholars program is open to Catholic men currently pursuing college or graduate studies and runs from May 24 to July 20, 2014. Participants will live on the campus of Saint Meinrad Archabbey (room and board provided) and join the monastic community for prayer, meals and recreation.
Mornings will be spent working on campus to earn a stipend. In the afternoons, participants will take a graduate level course in Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology and participate in other formation and discernment-oriented activities.
Positions in the Benedictine Scholars Program are limited to six per year. Preference in selecting participants will be given to those whose applications are completed by April 15th.
