Dr. Brian Reynolds

Brian Reynolds is the Chancellor and Chief Administrative Officer for the Archdiocese of Louisville. In this position, he coordinates the planning, personnel and administrative functions for an archdiocese serving 111 parishes.

Dr. Reynolds also has served as a consultant, trainer and author in Church ministry for more than 30 years. He has worked with more than 100 Catholic dioceses in the United States, Canada and Ireland. In addition, he has served on the adjunct faculty of several colleges and universities, where he has taught courses on leadership, human resources, ministry, stewardship and ethics. He is the author and co-author of five books and more than 40 articles on Church ministry, adolescence, and religious education.

Dr. Reynolds serves on a number of boards locally and nationally, including: Board of Trustees, Spalding University; Board of Directors, Leadership Louisville Center; Catholic Youth Foundation - USA; and the Center for Interfaith Relations. He is the recipient of several awards including: Benemerenti Papal Medal from Pope Francis; Vision Award from the National Association of Church Personnel Administrators; the Yves Congar Award from the Conference of Pastoral Planning; the Spirit Award from the National Association for Lay Ministry; and the National Catholic Youth Ministry Award.

He earned a bachelor's degree from Fairfield University, a master's from Fordham University and a doctorate in leadership education from Spalding University. He and his wife, Catherine, have been married for 33 years and are the parents of two young adult children.
