Fr. Jim Deiters

Title: Institute for Priests and Presbyterates Presenter
Fr. Jim Deiters is from the Diocese of
Belleville, Illinois. He has a bachelor's degree in business
administration from St. Thomas University and a Master of Divinity
from Mundelein Seminary in Chicago.
Ordained in 1991, he is presently a pastor of St. Clare, a
1,000-household suburban parish in southern Illinois, across the
river from St. Louis, MO. In 2007, their parish of St. Clare
finished the building of a new 1,200-seat church.
He is the director of priestly formation for his diocese.
Fr. Deiters serves as vice-president of NOCERCC, leading the
organization's efforts toward ongoing formation of priests in the
United States. He has done study and work in the areas of
facilitation and strategic planning for parish staffs and diocesan
groups.
He has recently been a presenter of "The Prayer Life of a
Preacher" at the National Catholic Coalition on Preaching
Convention and does other workshops on preaching for NOCERCC.
