College men invited to apply to Benedictine Scholars Program
February 27, 2012
Saint Meinrad Archabbey is inviting college men to apply for its
new Benedictine Scholars Program. The program takes place on the
St. Meinrad, IN, campus from June 2 to July 29.
The Benedictine Scholars is an eight-week summer program
offering young men who are interested in a possible religious
vocation the chance to experience life at a Benedictine monastery
while earning money and advancing their education.
Participants will live on the campus of Saint Meinrad Archabbey
(room and board provided) and join the monastic community for
prayer, meals and recreation. Mornings will be spent working on
campus to earn a stipend. In the afternoons, participants will take
a graduate-level course at Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of
Theology and participate in other formation and
discernment-oriented activities.
The program is open to Catholic men who are currently pursuing
college or graduate degrees. There is no charge for the program,
but spaces are limited. For more information or to apply, visit www.saintmeinrad.edu/bsp. Or contact
the Saint Meinrad Archabbey Office of Monastery Vocations at (812)
357-6318 or vocations@saintmeinrad.edu.
