Monk's ceramic works on exhibit

Br-Martin-pottery-for-web.gifSaint Meinrad Archabbey Library Gallery, St. Meinrad, IN, will host an exhibit of recently completed ceramic works by Br. Martin Erspamer, OSB, from May 12 through June 8.

Br. Martin has been a monk of Saint Meinrad Archabbey since 2005. He was a member of a Marianist community in Saint Louis, MO, from 1971 until joining the monastery at Saint Meinrad.

He has a master's degree in fine arts from Boston University and a bachelor's degree in fine arts from the Art Institute of San Antonio and St. Mary's University (San Antonio, TX). Br. Martin works as a liturgical artist and designs stained glass for churches throughout the United States.

The exhibit includes a selection of functional slipware and tableware. It also features new sculptural ceramics.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Those wishing to view the exhibit may want to arrive at least 30 minutes before closing time.
